The culture of Japanese quince (Chaenomeles) is new not only for industrial and amateur gardening, but also for the processing industry, because previously it was not introduced into the recipe compositions and technological instructions for the production of canned products. Studies have shown that the fruits of Chaenomeles do not have a high content of dry substances, but significantly exceed the fruits of pome crops in terms of the amount of organic acids. They contain a complex of biologically active substances necessary for the human body, such as: vitamins C, P, polyphenol nd pectin substances. The content of vitamins is much higher than that of quince fruits of cultivated varieties, especially in terms of vitamin C content, whose indicators are 5-6 times higher. The polyphenol complex of Chaenomeles is represented by leucoanthocyanins and flavonols, which differ taking into account the variety. The spectrum of biological action of pectin substances on the human body is that they have an immunomodulatory effect, are able to remove heavy metals, biogenic toxins, anabolics, xenobiotics, metabolic products and biologically harmful substances that can accumulate in the body: cholesterol, lipids, bile acids, urea. The value of the fruits of Chaenomeles also lies in the fact that they contain various substances that affect the nutritional properties of the finished product, their therapeutic and prophylactic qualities and manufacturability. Therefore, the fruits of Chaenomeles can be used as a blend in the production of many types of canned products, including puree, as well as in the production of nectars, juices with pulp, drinks, jam, etc. In the laboratory of storage and processing of fruits and berries, a comparative analysis of the chemical indicators of the quality of the fruits of Chaenomeles and common quince in the varietal section was carried out. The distinctive features of Chaenomeles fruits from cultivated varieties of common quince have been established, which emphasize the value of the studied fruits and allow them to be recommended for the production of functional drinks. Based on the obtained data, recipe models of the drink Solnechnyi based on apple juice and puree from the fruits of Chaenomeles were developed. In parallel with the determination of the balance of nutrients, the developed beverage was balanced according to the main organoleptic indicators. It is established that the content of vitamins that determine antioxidant activity in the drink of functional purpose Solnechnyi is 290,4 mg/100 g.

An improved method for growing the clone rootstocks for apple-trees with lignified cuttings is presented. It is recommended for use in fruit nurseries located on dense soils with close location of groundwater. It is shown that with a shortage of layering of propagated rootstocks for an apple tree, this method is economically profitable due to the possibility of using the additional cuttings such as underdeveloped or not rooted cuttings, the upper part of the rootstock growth like layering, rootstock-oculant, which are usually utilized in the production of sapling. It has been established that a positive result is achieved by treating the lignified cuttings with an aqueous IBA solution in combination with cofactors and ensuring the optimal conditions for stratification in special germination chambers (proposed by the author) and further cultivation of rootstock material in special ridges with dispersive irrigation. It is shown that the use of a germination chamber gives a highquality callus formation, while it is possible to cultivate the required number of cutting during subsequent ridges in the basement. The use of special ridges helps to avoid the rootstock being infected with pathogens from diseases such as verticiliasis, root rot and cancer. The advantage of the proposed method over the generally accepted one layering is revealed, which consists in the ability to use manual labor during the recession of field work and to get more high-quality material in the area where the process of hilling in the mother nursery is complicated due to very dense clay soils. It was found that the rootstocks reproduction during period from 8-9 month to one year high (90 %); outlet of standard rootstocks up to 50-70 %.

The article presents the general trends of rhizogenesis of some cherry varieties of sour in vitro. The experiments were carried out from 2012 till 2015 in a biotechnological laboratory at the Krymsk Experimental Breeding Station. The plant material of five cherry varieties ('Igrushka', 'Lyubskaya', 'Turgenevka', 'Shakhrazada' and 'Lava') was obtained from the department of genetic resources of breeding and varieties research at the Krymsk Experimental Breeding Station. The plant material was put under the aseptic conditions in a previously selected agarized nutritious medium and after it was placed in a growing room with artificial lighting for further experiments on their development, reproduction and rootage. The experiments resulted in selection of out two modifications of nutritious medium on the basis of Murashige and Skoog medium (1962) for a successful elongation of microshoots of the cherry varieties under study. The five studied varieties of cherry formed the well-developed shoots of 2-2.5 cm in height in vitro on these growth media. For the rootage of cherry microshoots in vitro a modified agarized growth medium (UV3) based on the salts of M-S (1962) was chosen. The experiments showed that the most active process of rhizogenesis as well as a high percentage of rootage is characteristic of 'Igrushka' and 'Lyubskaya' varieties. We assessed the development of the root system using such parameters as the number of rootlets per plant and their length. 'Lyubskaya' and 'Igrushka' cherries turned out to possess the best average parameters of the variety. At these varieties the number of rootlets was 5 cm and 4.6 cm on average and their length was 6.8 cm and 6 cm respectively.

The article presents the results of evaluating the nutrient artificial media for cultivation suitability of cherry ordinary embryos for three varieties Lyubskaya, Turgenevka, Igrushka, included in the assortment of the South of Russia (selected promising varieties of the collection of the Krymsk EBS, VIR Branch). They have a number of positive qualities: late fruiting, high fruit quality, potential productivity and transportability. In the work, the modifications of the cultural media of White, Knop, Anderson, Lee and de Fossard, Prunus, Murasige and Skoog were used. The compositions of seven artificial agarized nutrient media used by us in the embryos cultivation of three varieties of cherry ordinary are given in the text of the article. The embryos were introduced into the culture without plants entering in the dormant phase. In the course of the study, the growth and development of the embryos of these cherry varieties in vitro was observed. An assessment is made of the influence of the nutrient medium composition the cultivated embryos of cherry ordinary varieties. The average long-term (2015-2018) data of normally developed, not germinated (with the growth of cotyledons and callus), albinos and embryos infected with an internal infection embryos, depending on the variety. Since in breeding practice it is important to obtain more viable posterity, when evaluating the nutrient media, the attention was paid to sprouted, normally developed seedlings. As a result of the experiments, the nutrient medium of Murashige and Skoog was isolated, modified in two versions M2 and M4 for cultivating the cherry germ of Lyubskaya, and M2 and Pr1 for Turgenevka. For in vitro cultivation of Igrushka embryos, it is recommended to use an artificial agarized nutrient medium Knopa.
